Training sessions
Training should be held at Arkinstall Park unless KNC has advised otherwise. Players should attend, communicate absences, wear their training shirt and protective footwear, bring water and avoid jewellery.
Thank you to every KNC coach and manager who volunteers their time. Coaching has plenty of moving parts, but you are not expected to do it alone.
Support for the people who support players
A great coach fosters a positive and inclusive environment, promotes teamwork and helps players build confidence. KNC encourages coaches to support skill development, sportsmanship and enjoyment of netball.
Coaches and managers should contact the committee if they need support with training, game-day logistics, behaviour concerns or communication with families.
KNC keeps the practical reminders together so volunteers can find the right detail quickly before training, game day or a conversation with a family.
The list below is drawn from the coaching information handbook and can be refined as the club confirms the final 2026 process.
Training should be held at Arkinstall Park unless KNC has advised otherwise. Players should attend, communicate absences, wear their training shirt and protective footwear, bring water and avoid jewellery.
Matches are played Saturdays at Arkinstall Park. Players usually arrive around 30 minutes before their game in full uniform, ready for warm-up, with nails cut below the fingertip and jewellery removed.
Each team provides a scorer. If the team is listed first in Netball Connect, it is responsible for scoring in the app and confirming the score with the opposing scorer at breaks.
Rolling substitutions are available for divisions 11 years and above. Changes must happen through the sub circle and should not interfere with umpire movement or delay the centre pass.
Coaches and managers should monitor player medical conditions at training and matches. Players should seek medical clearance after substantial injury or illness.
KNC encourages informal resolution where possible. Serious or repeated behaviour concerns may be escalated through the committee and, if needed, Tweed Netball Association.
The handbook reminds coaches and managers to care for themselves so they can care for others. If support is needed, national services such as Lifeline, Beyond Blue, 1800 Respect, Blue Knot, Bravehearts and 13YARN are available.
